4. The Wabbit and Too Many Ghosts
The sea creature (or Fred as he liked to be called) entered an unbelievable room that to the Wabbit looked familiar. "The Interior Decorators have gone too far this time," muttered the Wabbit. He knew it as a replica from Turin's Four Seasons Room at the Palazzo Madama. And there, looking in an ornate mirror was Fred, the sea creature. A sudden bang alerted them. Everything froze. They looked up as Ghost Bunny materialised above them. She shrieked in her usual manner. "No-one move! Keep very very still!" Lapinette nudged the Wabbit, "GB likes to be dramatic." Ghost Bunny fluttered in a haunting fashion. "You have conjured up an entity from Thalassa Prime." The Wabbit smiled, "We met on the beach." Ghost Bunny haunted across the ceiling. "Your Fred is a ghost. He visits planets and swallows their treasures. He is likely after Pietro Piffetti's tables. He will return to Thalassa Prime, regurgitate them and dine well." Lazy smoke drifted from Fred's mouth. "Is he responsible for the murder on Lingotto roof." Ghost Bunny mused. "Undoubtedly. Was the victim missing a head, which you later found?" The Wabbit and Lapinette both nodded. "Must have got in his way," said Ghost Bunny. "After he decapitates them, he drinks their blood from the neck and has no further use for the cranium." "There was a rush of blood from the head all right," said the Wabbit. "Wabbit, you're not funny," groaned Lapinette. "I got ahead of myself," said the Wabbit.
